Software Installed on my Raspberry Pi

Here is the list of software installed on my unit in chronological order.

• New Out of the Box Software (NOOBS) available from the official Raspberry Pi downloads section (though given to me by sneakernet).
• Adafruit WebIDE for getting started (see the Blinky Light post ).
• Emacs, of course.
• pmount for an exercise in the Raspberry Pi Networking Cookbook book.
• samba to be able to mount my Raspberry Pi in OS X Finder .
• ufw the Uncomplicated Firewall as instructed in the Cookbook recipe .
• whois the command line client for WHOIS .
• Bluez : compiled using the instructions at http://developer.radiusnetworks.com/2013/10/09/how-to-make-an-ibeacon-out-of-a-raspberry-pi.html
